Job Title: Infection Control Specialist

• About the Role:

  The ideal candidate will have expertise in microbiology and infection control, with a proven track record of developing and implementing effective programs to minimize hospital-acquired infections and ensure patient safety.

• Responsibilities:

  Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of infection prevention protocols.

  Conduct microbiological testing, analyze laboratory results, and provide expert guidance on antimicrobial resistance patterns and infection outbreaks.

  Collaborate with clinical and laboratory teams to implement best practices in infection prevention, including sterilization, disinfection, and isolation protocols.

  Provide training and continuous education to healthcare professionals on microbiology, infectious diseases, and infection control measures.

  Establish and oversee antibiotic stewardship programs to promote responsible antimicrobial usage and reduce resistance.

  Investigate and respond to infection outbreaks, identifying sources and implementing corrective actions.

  Develop and review infection control policies and standard operating procedures.

  Conduct regular infection control audits, risk assessments, and quality improvement initiatives.

  Advise hospital administration on infection control strategies and resource allocation.

• Requirements:

  Advanced degree in Microbiology, Infectious Disease, or related field.

  Proven experience in infection control and microbiology.

  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
