We are seeking a seasoned Microbiologist to lead our infection control initiatives and drive quality improvement in patient care.

The successful candidate will oversee the development and implementation of evidence-based policies, procedures, and protocols to minimize hospital-acquired infections.

  • Program Development: Design, implement, and monitor infection prevention programs that align with national and international standards.
  • Infection Prevention Protocols: Develop, review, and update guidelines for antimicrobial stewardship, sterilization, disinfection, and isolation practices.
  • Investigations and Outbreak Response: Lead investigations into suspected or confirmed outbreaks, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Training and Education: Provide expert training and education to healthcare professionals on microbiology, infectious diseases, and infection control measures.
  • Antimicrobial Stewardship: Develop and maintain antibiotic stewardship programs to promote responsible antimicrobial use and reduce resistance.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure alignment with relevant regulations, laws, and standards governing infection control practices.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster collaboration between clinical, laboratory, and administrative teams to enhance infection control efforts.

Requirements:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in Microbiology, Immunology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in infection control, microbiology, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective infection control programs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
