As a seasoned technologist, you will play a key role in spearheading innovative projects that drive cost optimization and efficiency across our organization.

  • You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost savings and develop strategic plans to implement them.
  • Utilizing your expertise in cloud development and cost management tools, you will work to automate processes and optimize resources.
  • Through effective communication and stakeholder engagement, you will evangelize the importance of cost optimization and ensure its adoption across the organization.
  • By driving costs down for production and pre-production environments, you will contribute significantly to the organization's financial health.
  • Additionally, you will participate in FinOps training to enhance your skills and knowledge in this critical area.
  • In order to accurately allocate costs, you will support teams in understanding their service expenses and ensure correct allocation.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or related field, or equivalent experience required.
  • At least 5 years of software development experience.
  • Experience in cloud development, specifically AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
  • Proficiency in using AWS services such as Cost Manager, Tag Editor, Compute Optimizer, Pricing Calculator, or similar tools on Azure or Google Cloud.
  • System integration experience.
  • Knowledge of one or more programming languages: C#, ASP.NET, Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Python.
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with user stories or use cases.
  • Understanding of design patterns or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with code versioning (Git, GitLab, TFS, etc).
  • Willingness to learn about FinOps and expand your skill set.
  • Able to coordinate and collaborate with multiple stakeholders effectively.
