Role Summary

State Street relies on third-party providers to support internal processes and deliver certain products and services to clients. Our Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) Program assesses and evaluates these third-party providers. The TPRM Operations Specialist will collaborate with the Head of TPRM Operations to oversee and assess daily TPRM operations, aiming to improve productivity and internal Service Level Agreement (SLA) compliance. Key responsibilities include monitoring daily activity, conducting due diligence outreach, tracking suppliers' response timeliness, evaluating diligence completeness, and tracking due diligence efforts to completion. The ideal candidate should effectively communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders, promptly identify discrepancies in information received, and facilitate communication with key stakeholders and business partners to resolve issues efficiently.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of State Street's business lines and products & services.
  2. Gain a thorough understanding of the end-to-end Third-Party Risk Management workflow.
  3. Ensure effective communication of third-party risk posture to Senior Executives, upholding the highest standards of controls.
  4. Monitor and execute the daily queue of Executive Summaries (risk posture) to be released to Business.
  5. Review the results of the TPRM risk assessment, verifying findings documentation accuracy and alignment with standard procedures.
  6. Respond to inquiries from senior management with accuracy and precision.
  7. Provide Management Information (MI) and analytics to demonstrate progress and productivity.
  8. Maintain up-to-date procedure documentation and support during audits and regulatory inspections.
  9. Support emerging TPRM program requirements in response to the evolving regulatory landscape.
  10. Participate in project management efforts, including testing Archer system enhancements.
  11. Exhibit flexibility in working outside of direct responsibilities to support emerging TPRM program requirement changes.

  4. Ability to multitask and operate in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  5. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
  6. Must be self-motivated, adaptable, and demonstrate initiative in challenging circumstances.
  7. Proven ability to identify problems and work towards successful resolution.
  8. Possess a strong customer-centric mindset.
  9. Demonstrate a willingness to support change and initiatives within the TPRM Program.
  10. Innovative and critical thinking.
  11. High ethical standards.

Qualifications

  1. Overall work experience within the financial services sector (14+ years).
  2. Management Graduate from a reputable institution (preferable).
  3. Prior experience in risk management roles in large multi-national banks.
  4. Prior experience of 10+ years with third-party risk management in large multi-national banks.
  5. Subject matter expertise and proven track record in managing third-party risks.
  6. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  7. Risk Management certification is desirable (CRISC, CISM, CRVPM).
  8. Prior experience with Archer/RSA platform is preferred.

This role is required to support internal clients during the first half of US working hours.
