Key Strategic Communications Position

The key role of this position is to oversee and execute a comprehensive annual strategic communications plan. This plan will be focused on increasing the visibility of our organization's work among key stakeholders, policy makers, and partner governments.

Job Description:

This incumbent will be responsible for developing and implementing an effective communication strategy that showcases our organization's outcomes and achievements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Developing and executing a comprehensive annual strategic communications plan to increase the visibility of our organization's work.
  2. Overseeing the execution of the plan and ensuring its alignment with our organization's goals and objectives.
  3. Collaborating with various stakeholders, including policy makers and partner governments, to promote our organization's work and outcomes.
  4. Developing and maintaining relationships with key media contacts and influencers to secure positive media coverage.
  5. Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the communications plan and making recommendations for improvement.
  6. Providing regular updates and reports to senior management on the progress of the plan and its impact on our organization's reputation and brand.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as communications, marketing, or public relations.
  • At least 8 years of experience in a senior communications role, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful communications strategies that drive results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages and stories.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
