Job Title: Senior Biometrics Strategist

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Biometrics Strategist to provide leadership and guidance for our biometrics initiatives across India.

This role involves overseeing departmental leadership, long-range strategic planning, and ensuring alignment with global biometrics objectives. As the senior-most biometrics leader within the region, you will facilitate strategic discussions, contribute to global planning, and enable optimal end-to-end delivery of clinical biometrics services.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage cross-functional biometrics teams, driving strategic initiatives and projects to enhance value delivery and efficiency.
  • Oversee and support the India Biometrics team, ensuring their performance aligns with global functional expectations, quality standards, and strategic direction.
  • Collaborate closely with global heads of Biostatistics, Programming, and Data Science to translate strategic global initiatives into regional operational execution.
  • Develop, review, and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), and associated forms/templates that align with global standards and regulatory expectations.
  • Provide strategic leadership for training programs across the India Biometrics team, including credentialing, onboarding, and upskilling initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with training certification processes via the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Analyze and address Quality Issues (QIs), audit findings, and cross-functional compliance concerns, updating processes and procedures accordingly.
  • Engage stakeholders to drive strategy, foster operational excellence, and promote continuous improvement globally and regionally.
  • Direct process improvements across Biometrics using Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Drive regional communication and execution of Biometrics Optimization plans.
  • Promote a culture of innovation and encourage new ideas to improve performance and client satisfaction.
  • Support financial targets through strategic resourcing, team efficiency, and operational excellence.
  • Maintain knowledge of clinical research industry standards and trends.
  • Mentor and support regional Biometrics personnel in executing process improvement initiatives.
  • Hold full line management responsibilities for the regional Biometrics leadership team, ensuring regular meetings and feedback.
  • Develop workforce planning and recruitment strategies for India Biometrics operations.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Education & Experience:
    • Advanced degree required in Biostatistics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
    • Minimum 12-15 years of progressive experience in clinical research and biometrics functions, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or regional/global management role.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Knowledge of clinical trial processes, statistical methodologies, CDISC standards (SDTM, ADaM), and regulatory submission requirements.
  • Leadership & Collaboration:
    • Proven ability to lead, inspire, and manage large, cross-functional biometrics teams.
  • Other Competencies:
    • Strong business acumen with experience managing departmental budgets and contributing to P&L goals.
