Observability Strategist

We're seeking an exceptional DevOps Observability Expert to lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge observability solutions. This strategic role enables organizations to scale with reliability and performance.

This technical leadership position requires a strong focus on OpenTelemetry, Python development, automation, observability tools, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Design and build observability solutions using OpenTelemetry (metrics, logs, traces).
• Develop custom collectors, exporters, and automation tools using Python.
• Implement dashboards & visualizations in Grafana and optimize logging in Splunk.
• Manage event streaming pipelines with Kafka.
• Deploy and monitor observability components in Kubernetes.
• Build & optimize CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub, Argo CD).
• Drive DevOps maturity assessments, adoption strategies, and stakeholder engagement.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with OpenTelemetry, Kubernetes, AWS, Splunk, Ansible, Terraform.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Shell, Groovy, YAML (Flask/Node.js a plus).
• Knowledge of databases (Postgres, MySQL, InfluxDB, Prometheus, RDS, NoSQL).
• Familiarity with storage systems (NetApp, VMAX, Pure, PMAX).
• Strong exposure to monitoring tools – Grafana, Prometheus, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Datadog, ELK, etc.
• Agile/Scrum/SAFe environment experience.
