Energy Storage Systems Engineer Role

The company is seeking a skilled Energy Storage Systems Engineer to lead the design and development of battery-based energy storage systems. The successful candidate will have expertise in electrical design, compliance review, battery technology knowledge, project management, and testing.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and develop electrical designs for battery-based energy storage systems, including PCS, BMS, EMS, and SCADA systems.
  2. Conduct compliance reviews to ensure technical documents and installations meet applicable codes and regulations.
  3. Stay up-to-date on current battery technologies and their fundamental aspects.
  4. Manage bids and projects throughout their life cycle, including FAT and integration test plans for BESS systems.
  5. Perform electrical testing using appropriate PPE and procedures, and attend training sessions on equipment as provided by manufacturers.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum 2 years of experience in BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems).
  2. Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or a relevant field; PhD candidates are also welcome.
  3. Ability to read and comprehend electrical and mechanical schematics, technical manuals, procedures, and regulations.
  4. Competent skills using Microsoft Office software like Outlook, Excel, Word.
  5. Good organization, communication, analytical, planning, time management, and customer service skills.
