Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of complex data systems that drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain large-scale data systems using Cloud Native principles and best practices.
  • Plan and deploy database infrastructure, ensuring seamless upgrades and migrations.
  • Expertise in Aurora PostgreSQL database performance & scalability, complex query tuning, monitoring, and incident response.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute to infrastructure changes on AWS, leveraging deep understanding of AWS services.
  • Manage complex data replication environments serving batch as well as real-time use cases.
  • Engage in on-call rotations for production systems, responding promptly to incoming alerts.
  • Contribute to major system upgrades, deployment automation, monitoring enhancements, and Production changes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of hands-on development & operational experience with Postgres (AWS Aurora Postgres).
  • Experience with AWS Data Migration Service.
  • Extensive performance monitoring, troubleshooting & tuning experience.
  • Proficiency in AWS services and hands-on knowledge of hosting on cloud.
  • Experience with one of the programming languages for DevOps automation: Java, Python, Shell.
  • Familiarity with Docker & Kubernetes, Splunk, Wavefront is a plus.
