Job Title: Finance Lead

This role is a pivotal part of the company's management structure, focusing on capital structure and optimal financing options.

  1. Manage accounting team daily operations for regular accounting & Tally management, track cash flow, manage finance departments, and provide accurate financial reports.
  2. Tackle responsibility for all cash management, investments, insurance, budgeting, and financial reporting to drive the company's financial strategy and hiring needs.
  3. Develop annual operating, capital, and program budgets, as well as reporting for the same.
  4. Evaluate cash flow compatibility with operations by overseeing day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal-control activities of the organization.
  5. Implement best practices and tools to ensure a well-controlled yet flexible organization with strong fiscal management, project coordination, cross-team communications, and workflows.
  6. Comply with national and local financial requirements by studying existing and new legislation and taking appropriate action.
  7. Work with founders to develop budget proposals, provide access to project finance information, and ensure contract/grant compliance and reporting.
  8. Analyze revenue opportunities and economic trends, identify areas for cost reduction and process enhancement.
  9. Perform risk management through analysis of company liabilities and investments, and evaluate and manage capital structure and fundraising initiatives.
  10. Monitor business performance with tracking tools, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports for earnings calls, management team, and rest of company.
  11. Oversee finance personnel and ensure financial IT systems compliance with relevant regulatory entities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Five or more years of experience in financial and commercial roles.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in executive leadership/team handling roles.
  • CA qualification or Master's degree (or equivalent experience) in accounting, business accounting, or finance.
  • Experience independently handling finalisation of books of accounts including balance sheet, P&L, cash flow statements etc.
  • Experience working with founders/business leads on core strategic objectives.
  • Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning.
  • Working knowledge of how to raise capital both through equity sale and traditional lines of credit.
  • Experience handling fund raise mandates, due diligence and investor relations.
  • Experience in accounting & ERP software along with OMS tools.
  • Goal-oriented, assertive and hands-on problem solver with excellent analytical skills and high attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
