Backend Developer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated professional to take on the critical role of migrating core functionality from our legacy .NET monolith to a modern, event-driven architecture using Java Spring Boot microservices.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Architect, build, and maintain high-performance, scalable Java Spring Boot microservices.
  • Leverage AI-powered tools and large language models (LLMs) to accelerate development and code translation tasks.
  • Migrate existing .NET code that integrates with our loan servicing platform to the new Java stack.
  • Implement a modern event-driven system using cloud-native technologies like Google Cloud Pub/Sub.
  • Build and deploy services using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies, including Cloud Functions, Spanner, and Firestore.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code. Own the entire development lifecycle, demonstrating confidence in taking features to production through a robust CI/CD pipeline.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in backend software development, with a strong emphasis on enterprise-level systems.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Java and the Spring Boot framework.
  • Professional experience with .NET (C#), with a demonstrated ability to read, understand, and reverse-engineer legacy codebases.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically with services like Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Spanner, and/or Firestore.
