Automation Tester

The primary function of an Automation Tester is to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications by designing, developing, and executing automated tests.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, identify test scenarios, and develop automation scripts.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks.
  • Execute automated test scripts to validate functionality, performance, and reliability.
  • Identify and report defects using bug tracking tools, providing detailed information and steps to reproduce.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure changes or updates do not introduce new issues.
  • Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues, providing clear and concise information about test results and defects.
  • Continuously enhance and optimize automated test suites to improve efficiency and coverage.
  • Participate in test plan and test case reviews, providing feedback and suggestions for improvements.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to establish and maintain test environments and test data.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and advancements in automation testing, proposing their adoption in projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
  • 4+ years of experience as an Automation Tester or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Proficiency in automation testing frameworks and tools like Selenium WebDriver, Appium, or Cucumber.
  • Experience in designing and developing automation test scripts using programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Solid understanding of test automation frameworks and their implementation.
  • Familiarity with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively manage time and prioritize tasks.
