The role involves system design, calculations, documentation, tender preparation, coordination, quality assurance, site visits and project management for plumbing and fire fighting systems.

  • Develop detailed designs for plumbing and fire fighting systems, including water supply, drainage, vent systems, rainwater harvesting, pump rooms, firefighting systems (sprinklers, standpipes, hydrants, hose reels), and associated equipment.
  • Perform hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, pressure loss analysis, and equipment selection to ensure system efficiency and code compliance.
  • Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including layouts, schematics, technical specifications, and reports in accordance with relevant local and international codes and standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of tender documentation such as bills of quantities, material specifications, and scope of work for plumbing and fire fighting systems.
  • Collaborate with architects, clients, and other engineering disciplines to integrate plumbing and fire fighting systems seamlessly into overall project designs.
  • Conduct regular reviews and quality checks of design deliverables to ensure accuracy, functionality, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Carry out site inspections as necessary to assess existing conditions, verify installation quality, and ensure adherence to approved designs and specifications.

To be successful, you should have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in MEP Design in commercial and residential buildings is also required. Experience in Project management and MEP coordination is essential.
