About this role

We're seeking a seasoned investment professional to drive our investment strategy and lead the way in sourcing, evaluating, and executing investments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sourcing & Thesis: Build and maintain a high-quality pipeline of seed-stage, early-stage, and growth-stage opportunities. Develop and refresh thematic theses, leveraging your network to identify non-obvious opportunities.
  • Evaluation & IC Prep: Run fast screens and deep dives, building financial models, scenario simulations, and exit pathways. Draft Investment Memos with clear theses, risks, and decision checkpoints.
  • Diligence Leadership: Define diligence scope, select and manage external partners for LDD and FDD, and coordinate data-room requests. Synthesize findings into go/no-go recommendations.
  • Transaction Execution: Support term sheet design, valuation rationale, and coordination with counsel on definitive docs. Maintain accurate closing files and hand off smoothly to finance/ops.
  • Portfolio Support & Follow-ons: Onboard companies into our advisor network, drive targeted help, track portfolio health, and prepare follow-on cases.

Fundraising-Ready Skills

  • Investment Expertise: Strong grasp of unit economics, cohort retention, marketplaces, SaaS metrics, working-capital cycles, and path to profitability.
  • Deal Evaluation: Hands-on with LDD/FDD scopes, ability to frame key questions and pressure-test assumptions.
  • Structured Writing: Fast modeler (Excel/Sheets) and organized operator (pipeline discipline).

Success Metrics

  • Sourcing: Curate 400–600 quality opportunities/year; maintain a living map of priority themes.
  • Conversion: Advance 15–25% to deep dive; recommend 12-15 investments/year.
  • Diligence Quality: Every close accompanied by a clear red-flag register and mitigants.

About You

  • Credentials: Ex-founder/operator or investor with meaningful deal evaluation experience.
  • Networked: Credible access across founders, angels, bankers, and operators.
  • Analytical: Strong analytical skills, including financial modeling and scenario planning.
  • Execution-Oriented: Proven ability to execute transactions efficiently and effectively.
  • Found-Friendly Communication Style: Hustle, bias to action, low-ego; founder-friendly communicator with high empathy.
