Job Title: Data Architecture Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architecture Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our data engineering group, you will be responsible for designing and implementing optimal data pipeline architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain events/streaming based architecture/design
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
  • Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS 'big data' technologies.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Proficiency in either Scala or Python
  • Expertise in Apache Spark
  • Experience with performance tuning and optimization
  • Hands-on experience with dbt (Data Build Tool) for data transformations and data modeling
