
Nurse Leader Position

Key to success in this role is the ability to lead and motivate nursing staff, ensuring a high standard of patient care. A successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills, be able to work collaboratively with other departments, and possess strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities- Staff Supervision & Coordination
- Supervise nursing staff on duty, ensuring appropriate skill mix and coverage for all shifts.
- Assign duties and responsibilities based on staff availability, skill levels, and patient acuity.
- Conduct shift handovers and monitor nursing documentation.
- Patient Care Oversight
- Ensure delivery of safe, timely, and compassionate nursing care to all patients.
- Monitor and guide nurses in patient assessment, medication administration, and care planning.
- Respond promptly to patient or family concerns and resolve issues within the scope of nursing care.
- Training & Mentorship
- Provide on-the-job training and orientation to new nursing staff.
- Identify staff training needs and coordinate with nursing education teams for ongoing development.
- Monitor performance, provide feedback, and support professional growth.
- Compliance & Protocol Management
- Ensure adherence to hospital protocols, infection control practices, and nursing standards.
- Supervise the implementation of care plans, documentation, safety practices, and code blue/emergency responses.
- Support compliance with NABH/JCI standards and participate in quality audits.
- Coordination with Other Departments
- Collaborate with doctors, allied health professionals, housekeeping, and administration for smooth patient care delivery.
- Assist in patient admissions, discharges, and transfers in coordination with medical and support teams.
- Administrative Duties
- Maintain duty rosters, leave records, and incident reports.
- Oversee inventory management for nursing supplies, equipment, and emergency kits.
- Report patient care or staff issues to the Nursing Superintendent/CNO promptly.
