Financial Manager

Job Description:

The key role of the Financial Manager involves the strategic management and analysis of manufacturing operations.

This position requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, cost accounting, and financial planning to ensure accurate budgeting, forecasting, and performance evaluation.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in manufacturing finance, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and present timely and accurate financial statements and reports to stakeholders.

  2. Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and production performance to identify areas for improvement.

  3. Conduct variance analysis, including material, labor, and overhead variances.

  4. Budgeting & forecasting annual budgets for manufacturing operations, including capital expenditure planning.

  5. Inventory Optimization, controlling inventory receipts and physical verification.

  6. Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting and long-term financial planning.

  7. Validate, approve, review, and manage the collection and payment of Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) for both external and internal customers and suppliers.

  8. Handle inter-company transactions, settlements, and reconciliations with headquarters and subsidiaries.

  9. Implement and maintain robust cost accounting systems and processes.

  10. Analyze cost structures and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.

  11. Monitor and control manufacturing overhead costs, ensuring accurate allocation to products and processes.

  12. Collaborate with production and operations teams to understand financial implications of manufacturing activities.

  13. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support operational decision-making.

  14. Utilize job order costing and process costing techniques to ensure accurate product costing.
