Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer

This role is for an experienced software developer with a focus on building high-performance web applications using Ruby on Rails.

The ideal candidate will have 9+ years of experience working with Ruby on Rails, a strong debugging skills and experience modernizing legacy systems.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design, develop and maintain robust scalable applications using Ruby on Rails.
  • Debug and enhance legacy systems with a strong focus on reliability, performance and maintainability.
  • Write clean modular code following best practices.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams contribute to and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements:

  • 9+ years professional software development experience primarily with Ruby on Rails.
  • Strong debugging skills and experience working with and modernizing legacy systems.
  • Proficiency in PostgreSQL and relational database design.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes.
  • Proven ability to write high-quality unit and integration tests.
