Job Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Data Validation Specialist to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and performance across our data platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business requirements and technical specifications for ETL processes.
  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for ETL workflows.
  • Validate data across various stages: source, staging, and target.
  • Perform data reconciliation and quality checks between source and target systems.
  • Identify, report, and track defects in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with ETL developers, data engineers, and business analysts to resolve data issues.
  • Utilize SQL to perform complex queries for data validation and test verification.
  • Automate ETL test scripts where applicable using tools such as Selenium, Apache JMeter, or other automation frameworks.
  • Document test results and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and quality standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in ETL testing.
  • Strong knowledge of ETL tools like Informatica, Talend, DataStage, SSIS, etc.
  • Proficient in SQL and data validation techniques.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, data models (star/snowflake schema), and data lakes.
  • Experience with QA/testing tools like JIRA, HP ALM, TestRail, etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages for test automation.
  • ISTQB or other QA certifications.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
