Data Validation Analyst

About the Role :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Validation Analyst to join our data quality team. In this role, you will be responsible for validating large datasets, identifying anomalies or inconsistencies, and ensuring data accuracy across our systems and processes. You will work closely with engineering, analytics, and QA teams to ensure data integrity at every stage of the data lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform end-to-end data validation on raw and processed datasets.
- Collaborate with data engineers and product teams to validate ETL pipelines and transformations.
- Write and execute SQL queries to extract, compare, and validate data across systems.
- Analyze data to identify gaps, duplicates, inconsistencies, or missing values.
- Validate data against business rules, data dictionaries, and documentation.
- Assist in developing data validation frameworks and reusable test scripts using tools or Python.
- Document all validation procedures, logic, and test results.
Good-to-Have Skills :
- Knowledge of ETL processes and data transformation workflows.
- Basic scripting skills in Python (pandas, NumPy) for data manipulation.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for data investigation.
