About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Customer Development Executive to join our team at Colgate-Palmolive Company. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective distribution and implementation of our products in the given zone, driving sales and distribution objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Distribution Management:
    • Develop and execute trade management strategies to identify new markets and accounts, and bring them under direct coverage.
    • Ensure the addition of specialty wholesalers and optimize the usage of activations to drive sales.
    • Classify stores in the route list according to accurate RE and advise SSMs to reduce non-purchasers.
  • In-store management:
    • Prioritize accounts for maximum impact through visibilities, ensuring coverage of top 2 outlets in every route.
  • Market Updates:
    • Secure and draw insights from competitive information regarding new products, activities, schemes, and developments.
  • Data-based working and communication:
    • Use data to drive overall business performance, setting objectives for market visits and reviewing sales associates and PSR performance against plan.
    • Review stockiest performance against plan and acknowledge any issues faced by sales associates in the field.
  • Developing and training:
    • Train and develop sales associates through required training modes, ensuring they understand CP benefits and can perform well.
    • Mentor and empower sales associates to perform well, resolving any issues they face.
  • Meetings:
    • Conduct effective monthly and weekly sales associates meetings.
  • Reporting:
    • Compile reports and information as per requirements communicated by AM.
  • Relationship Building:
    • Maintain trust and understanding in working with stockiest and trade, partnering with key wholesalers to drive business.
    • Share success stories and communicate programs to build off-takes, mutually working towards category growth.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of work experience in FMCG Companies.
  • Post Graduate in Business Administration.
