Accountant/Senior Accountant

Establish a strong foundation in accounting and financial operations by assuming the role of Senior Accountant.

The ideal candidate will possess 1.3-7 years of experience and a profound understanding of accounting principles, coupled with analytical and detail-oriented skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management:
    • Prepare and verify Purchase & Sales Bills, ensuring accuracy and alignment with Purchase Orders and invoices.
    • Manage cash flow, process voucher preparation, and record daily transactions in accounting books/ERP systems.
    • Oversee creditor management and vendor payments through NEFT/RTGS.
    • Coordinate LC documentation and liaise with bankers for seamless daily operations.
    • Generate monthly Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS).
    • Calculate salary & wages, maintain Salary and Attendance Registers, and provide essential support for payroll processing.
    • Compile monthly stock statements for banks (Cash Credit facility).
    • Assist in finalizing accounts, including Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Statement, and Cash Flow.
    • Compose official letters related to accounts and statutory matters.
    • Develop MIS reports for informed decision-making.

Statutory Compliance:

  • Taxation: Calculate TDS, file income tax returns, issue Form 16/16A, compute advance tax, and submit ITR filings.
  • GST: Manage registration, amendments, challan generation, GSTR-1 & GSTR-3B filing, annual returns, refunds, audits, and E-Way bill administration.
  • PF & ESI: Process monthly contributions, generate UAN, facilitate transfers/withdrawals, and ensure employee registration under PF/ESI.
  • Legacy Compliances: Oversee VAT/CST, Excise Duty – filing, reconciliations, and audit support.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum Qualification: B.Com (Accounting/Finance).
  • Preferred Qualification: M.Com or specialization in Finance/Accounts.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian Taxation, GST, TDS, PF/ESI, and statutory compliance.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Tally, and ERP systems.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple statutory timelines.
