Key Job Responsibilities
  • Leads a team of chartered accountants, tax assistants and corporate clients.
  • Assists in transaction structuring involving mergers, demergers and slump sales.
  • Manages cross-functional teams for regulatory inputs to provide holistic solutions.
  • Conducts tax due diligence from buy-side or sale-side support as applicable.
  • Works out income tax rule valuations (e.g., Rule 11UA, Rule 11UAE).
  • Fulfills client deliverables with reporting supervisor consultation.
  • Ensures overall tax compliance for a portfolio of clients.
  • Provides tax solutions considering domestic and international tax.
  • Performs proactive tax risk analysis on client transactions.
  • Suggests possible structuring options meeting desired client objectives.
  • Offers withholding tax advisory on foreign remittance.
  • Reviews key corporate tax returns and vet tax positions.
  • Oversees litigation matters and responds to Tax Department notices.
  • Manages client relationships and initiates meetings.
  • Trains and mentors the team.
  • Supports practice management initiatives, contributing to thought leadership content.

This is a challenging role requiring strong leadership skills, excellent communication and analytical abilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in M&A tax and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
