We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Representative to join our team at TalentXO. The ideal candidate will have 1+ year of experience working as a business development representative (or other relevant roles) at a B2B SaaS company.

The successful candidate will be responsible for generating leads and setting up meetings with qualified prospects by optimizing our outbound sales machinery - iterating on channels, messaging, ICP (ideal customer profile), tooling etc.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Outbound prospecting: Find leads from databases, reach out to them via different channels (email, LinkedIn, cold calling, etc.) to generate new sales opportunities, identify the needs of prospects, and build long-term, trusting relationships to qualify leads as sales opportunities
  • Iterate to maximize qualified meetings set up: Experiment with different databases, messaging, level of personalization, length of sequences, channels (email, LinkedIn, cold calls, etc.), types of collateral, recipient being targeted - industry, persona, intent signals, etc., and loop in feedback from prospect responses to emails and cold calls to refine messaging further
  • Inbound follow-ups: Respond to inbound leads and automate follow-up communication; iterate on messaging/channels to maximize conversion rate
  • Run custom campaigns: e.g., writing to VCs for intros to their portfolio companies, writing to conference attendees, scraping forums and job descriptions for relevant leads, etc.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on performance and location in Karnataka, Bengaluru.

A strong first principles understanding of business fundamentals is essential for success in this role. We value entrepreneurial mindset, excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to empathize with end users and understand their pain points. A self-driven individual with high ownership and strong work ethic is required. The opportunity also involves building, managing, and motivating a team.
