Chief Software Security Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled security professional to join our team in a key role that will drive the development of secure software systems. As a Senior Application Security Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying vulnerabilities in applications and working closely with development teams to design robust security measures.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular security assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities in applications.
- Collaborate with development teams to develop secure software systems, resolve identified vulnerabilities, and implement effective security measures.
- Perform security audits and penetration testing as required to ensure the integrity of our systems.
- Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Information Assurance is required; Master's degree is a plus.
- CSSLP, CASE, or SSP certifications are an advantage.
- Proficient in multiple programming languages, including Java, JavaScript, C++, Python, and Ruby.
- Experience with API development/testing and API security.
- Agile (Scrum and Kanban) and SDLC practices knowledge.
- GCP, Containers, and Serverless technologies expertise.

Security ExpertiseThe selected candidate will be responsible for conducting security reviews and threat modeling to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities in software systems. This includes understanding software architecture, identifying attack vectors, devising strategies to mitigate threats, and collaborating with developers and IT professionals to implement effective security measures.
A successful candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex security concepts to developers and stakeholders. Clear and concise security report writing and presentation skills are essential for success in this role.
