Financial Data Engineer Job

We are seeking a skilled Senior Engineer to contribute to the development of modern financial data platforms.

This role will focus on building and scaling data pipelines using Snowflake, dbt, and financial systems integration to support critical financial systems, reporting, and compliance needs.

  • Snowflake Data Engineering: Develop optimized data warehouse solutions in Snowflake for finance and accounting workloads.
  • dbt Development: Build and maintain dbt models and transformations for clean, governed, and auditable financial data flows.
  • Financial Systems Integration: Implement data pipelines that source from ERP and finance systems to support revenue recognition, reconciliations, and accounting processes.
  • ETL/ELT Pipelines: Design, build, and maintain reliable data pipelines and workflows using Snowflake, dbt, and other tools.
  • Collaboration: Work directly with Finance and Accounting partners to translate business requirements into technical designs and data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and optimize data pipelines for financial systems, reporting, and compliance needs.
  • Work closely with engineers, analysts, and Finance partners to develop and maintain data pipelines.
  • Develop and maintain dbt models and transformations for financial data flows.
  • Implement data pipelines that source from ERP and finance systems.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and traceability of financial data.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5-7 years of professional experience in data engineering or data platform roles, preferably with financial systems.
  • 3+ years hands-on experience with Snowflake for data warehousing, performance tuning, and secure data sharing.
  • 2+ years of dbt experience (building models, transformations, testing, and documentation).
