The role of Senior Credit Strategist involves overseeing the credit risk framework for unsecured lending. This includes developing and maintaining credit risk policies, enhancing underwriting norms in line with market trends, and collaborating with product and analytics teams to optimize credit strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and implementing credit risk policies and frameworks for unsecured products.
  • Enhancing underwriting norms by reviewing and refining them according to market trends and regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize credit strategies for existing and new products.
Underwriting & Risk Models:
  • Designing and improving credit scorecards and rule engines in collaboration with data science and analytics teams.
  • Monitoring the performance of underwriting models and recommending refinements as needed.
  • Evaluating new lending segments, channels, or partnerships from a credit perspective.
Portfolio Monitoring & MIS:
  • Analyzing portfolio performance, delinquencies, and early warning signals using dashboards and analytics.
  • Leading periodic credit reviews and presenting portfolio health to senior management.
  • Designing and tracking key risk indicators (KRIs) and early warning systems (EWS).
Requirements:
  • MBA/PGDM in Finance, Economics, or CA.
  • 7–12 years of experience in credit risk management, preferably with unsecured lending experience in NBFCs or Fintechs.
  • Strong understanding of consumer credit products and the risk lifecycle.
  • Working Capital underwriting is a must.
