Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ophthalmologist to join our team at Medico Hub Connect as a Part-time Ophthalmologist for the OPD evening slot. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialized eye care services to patients during the evening hours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comprehensive Eye Examinations: Conduct thorough eye examinations to diagnose and treat various eye conditions.
  • Surgical and Non-Surgical Procedures: Perform surgical and non-surgical procedures to treat eye diseases and injuries.
  • Diagnostic Tests and Imaging: Interpret diagnostic tests and imaging results to determine the appropriate treatment plan.
  • Patient Consultations: Provide consultations to patients regarding their eye health and treatment options.
  • Medication and Eyeglasses: Prescribe medications and eyeglasses as needed for patient care.
  • Postoperative Care: Monitor and manage postoperative care for surgical patients.
  • Collaboration with Healthcare Professionals: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
  • Medical Records and Documentation: Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient consultations and treatments.
  • Continuous Education: Participate in continuous education and stay updated with the latest advancements in ophthalmology.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with medical standards, protocols, and safety regulations.
  • Effective Communication: Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment plans and expectations.
  • Departmental Meetings and Quality Improvement: Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Guidance and Mentoring: Provide guidance and mentoring to medical staff and trainees.
  • Community Outreach: Participate in community outreach programs and educational activities on eye care.
Required Qualifications
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Degree: Possess a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
  • Board Certification in Ophthalmology: Be board certified in Ophthalmology.
  • Licensure to Practice: Hold licensure to practice as an Ophthalmologist in the relevant state.
  • Ophthalmology Residency Program: Complete an Ophthalmology residency program.
  • Proven Experience: Possess proven experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of eye conditions and diseases.
  • Surgical Procedures: Be proficient in surgical procedures related to ophthalmology.
  • Clinical Judgment and Decision-Making: Demonstrate strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Teamwork and Compassion: Be able to work effectively in a team-based healthcare environment and demonstrate a commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
  • Attention to Detail and Organizational Skills: Possess attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Adherence to Ethical and Professional Standards: Adhere to ethical and professional standards of practice.
  • Time Management and Prioritization: Be able to effectively manage time and prioritize patient needs.
