Service Engineer Job Description

As a Service Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional field service support for our products. Your primary responsibility will be to handle all breakdown calls in the shortest possible response time, ensuring that our customers receive timely assistance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Field Service Support: Offer technical assistance and resolve product-related issues at customer sites.
  • Breakdown Call Handling: Promptly respond to and address all breakdown calls, minimizing downtime and maintaining high customer satisfaction levels.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Foster strong relationships with customers by effectively managing their expectations and delivering excellent service.
  • Report Generation: Prepare monthly reports detailing the overall performance of service and technical application management.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Monitor repairs and maintenance activities to ensure operational efficiency and target required hours for machine repair.
  • Escalation Process: Be responsible for investigating and resolving customer concerns/issues through the escalation process.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain and publish service documentation in a centralized binder for distribution to field service organizations.
  • Online Documentation: Ensure online service documentation is up-to-date on the company's intranet.
  • Troubleshooting and Commissioning: Perform troubleshooting, commissioning, and certification of units as needed.
  • Teamwork and Training: Collaborate with colleagues, build strong relationships with customer contacts, and conduct hands-on training for field service organizations internationally (travel involved).
