Job Title: Strategic Communications Specialist

Develop and execute strategic communications plans to elevate the organization's reputation and visibility.

  • Draft, edit, and disseminate press releases, newsletters, and media content that showcase key messages and initiatives.
  • Cultivate relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure coverage and features.
  • Monitor media coverage and analyze its impact on the organization's brand and reputation.
  • Support event planning, press conferences, and promotional activities that align with business objectives.
  • Maintain and update a comprehensive media contact database for efficient outreach and engagement.
  • Ensure consistency in branding and messaging across all communications channels.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, HR, leadership) to ensure seamless alignment and execution of communications strategies.

Required Skills:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of strategic communications, media relations, and public relations principles.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with media professionals and other stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and social media platforms to create engaging content and track metrics.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and creativity in messaging to capture audience attention and drive results.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in corporate communications, PR agency, or media relations.
  • Familiarity with digital communications tools (e.g., Meltwater, Cision, Hootsuite).
  • Basic knowledge of content creation and graphic design tools to enhance visual appeal and messaging.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field
