Warehouse Research Associate

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the success of our research project. As a Warehouse Research Associate, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to ensure the seamless operation of our SMART warehouse project.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Training and Development:
    • Attend training programs related to the SMART warehouse study to enhance your knowledge and skills;
    • Develop and implement training plans to equip warehouse staff with the necessary skills and competencies to effectively manage the SMART warehouse project.
  • Sample Analysis and Data Collection:
    • Conduct grain sampling from gunny bags and perform infestation assessments following established procedures to ensure accurate data collection;
    • Utilize moisture meters to calculate moisture content percentage of sampled grains, adhering to specified protocols to guarantee data accuracy;
    • Record temperature, relative humidity (RH), and carbon dioxide (CO2) levels according to prescribed protocols to facilitate data-driven decision making;
    • Document observable parameters such as rodent activity, rat movement, fecal matter, foot markings, presence of burrows, dust, bird activity, smoke/fire, and any other relevant parameters to support informed decision making.
  • Monitoring and Field Data Submission:
    • Monitor CCTV feeds to ensure timely identification and resolution of issues;
    • Review and analyze SMART warehouse dashboard data to highlight key areas for improvement;
    • Prepare and submit monitoring reports in the prescribed format to facilitate communication with stakeholders;
    • Upload collected data electronically according to prescribed procedures to ensure seamless data management.
  • Coordination and Collaboration:
    • Provide assistance in ensuring the effective working of sensors, cameras, and real-time data uploads in coordination with warehouse staff and service providers;
    • Coordinate with warehouse staff and stakeholders to facilitate smooth and timely implementation of the research project;
    • Collaborate with warehouse staff to resolve issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor to support the success of the research project.
