Program Management Role

At our organization, we are seeking a skilled Program Manager to oversee the delivery of software engineering projects and programs.

This individual will partner with engineering, product, and internal business teams to ensure understanding of priorities, execution visibility, project delivery, and achievement of targeted outcomes.

The Program Manager will be responsible for managing program statuses, financial forecasts, risk tracking, team member communications, and ensuring process compliance.

They will report to the Manager, Program Management and follow a hybrid working schedule.

Responsibilities:
  • Program Strategy and Planning:
  • Define and manage the scope, goals, and roadmap of software programs.
  • Lead program-level planning and prioritization in collaboration with engineering and product leadership.
  • Collaborative Execution:
  • Coordinate efforts across multiple software development teams and technical team members.
  • Facilitate milestone planning and progress tracking.
  • Ensure cross-team understanding, visibility, and transparency throughout the program lifecycle
  • Delivery Management:
  • Monitor and report on project and program progress, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Promote delivery excellence through adherence to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and internal processes.
  • Resolve delivery blockers, manage interdependencies, and escalate.
  • Risk and Issue Management:
  • Manage project and program issues.
  • Maintain risk mitigation plans and contingency strategies
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in program or project management in software engineering or related technical field
  • Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with project tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar
  • Relevant certifications such as, PMP, SAFe, or equivalent.
