Job Title: Embedded Engineer

Hiring of Principal Engineer (Linux-Ethernet)

Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing high-performance Ethernet switching solutions.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop Ethernet switch hardware and software architectures

Develop device drivers and network stack components for Linux kernel

Implement scripting languages such as Python and Bash for test automation and data analysis

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware and software components

Requirements:

6-8 years of experience in embedded systems design and development

Strong understanding of Ethernet standards, including IEEE 802.3 and 5G/10GBASE-T

Experience with Ethernet PHY ICs, internal blocks, auto-negotiation, link training, FEC, loopbacks, and media independent interfaces

Proficiency in debugging skills, including hardware and software troubleshooting

Knowledge of Layer 2 switching concepts, including MAC address learning, VLANs, spanning tree protocols, link aggregation, and IGMP snooping

Bonus Skills:

Experience with Ethernet switch architectures and features, including QoS, traffic shaping, port mirroring, and PTP/NTP

Knowledge of Linux kernel development, including device drivers and network stack components

Proficiency in scripting languages, including Python and Bash

Experience with network test equipment, including traffic generators and network sniffers
