About the Role

Manage and supervise a team of engineers, performing structural design calculations and addressing civil and offshore structural design challenges. Stay up-to-date on industry codes, standards, regulations, and guidelines.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Review client specifications, raise clarifications, and follow company standards for quality assurance.
  • Prepare technical requisitions and collaborate with vendors to meet project requirements.
  • Create or review civil and structural design basis and project specifications to ensure accuracy.
  • Perform structural analysis of offshore and FPSO modules, producing calculation reports that meet client and company standards.
  • Monitor and assess team performance, providing feedback for improvement and development opportunities.
  • Assess team skills/competencies and create individual development plans to enhance knowledge and capabilities.
  • Prepare, review, and approve civil and structural MTOs during proposals and project execution.
  • Lead and assist junior civil & structural engineers/designers when developing engineering deliverables.
  • Deliver civil & structural engineering documents as per project schedule and deadlines.
  • Provide accurate engineering hours estimate during proposals and track engineering hours for its discipline during project execution.
  • Participate in 3D model interdisciplinary reviews and resolve clashes in its discipline.
  • Review, comment, and approve outsourced structural engineering design deliverables for quality control.
  • Maintain state-of-the-art knowledge in its discipline, following applicable codes and standards.
  • Actively support, participate in, and maintain the integrity and ongoing function of the company's HSSE program.
  • Ability and willingness to travel, as required, to fulfill project and business needs.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards (API, ASCE, ACI, AISC, BS, EURO, and other international detailing knowledge).
  • Effective implementation of quality systems, procedures, management of change, and revision control for successful project delivery.
  • Good knowledge of commercial engineering design programs such as STAAD, SAP 2000, and SACS.

This role requires a high level of technical expertise and leadership skills to manage a team effectively.
