Job Title: Facilities Operations Manager

Work Schedule: Standard Mon-Fri, Environmental Conditions: Laboratory Setting and Office.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinate technical systems operation and maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, and mechanical systems.
  2. Plan and execute preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and system failures.
  3. Respond to facility-related issues and resolve them promptly.
  4. Maintain system performance ensuring all equipment operates according to manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.
Team Support:
  1. Supervision: Lead the facilities maintenance team by providing mentorship and resources for their roles.
  2. Coordinate daily work schedules and ensure tasks are assigned based on priorities.
  3. Foster a collaborative and positive team culture encouraging open communication and development.
Facility Maintenance of Life Science R&D Labs:
  1. Develop and implement maintenance programs, SOPs, and SOWs to ensure reliability and efficiency of facilities, equipment, and systems.
  2. Collaborate with vendors to manage comprehensive facility management.
  3. Manage single or multiple facility operations aligning with established protocols, tools, and processes.
Soft Skills:
  1. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service as a key point of contact for internal staff, contractors, and external vendors.
  2. Utilize strong communication and social skills for clear conversations between teams, collaborators, customers, and service providers.
Health, Safety, Compliance:
  1. Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and regulations.
  2. Participate in safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and address corrective actions.
Maintenance Reporting, Documentation:
  1. Maintain accurate records of service requests, maintenance activities, repairs, and system inspections.
  2. Produce reports for management highlighting critical metrics such as uptime, repair expenses, and maintenance timetables.
Project Management Assistance:
  1. Support facility-related projects including upgrades, installations, and renovations.
  2. Assist in project timelines, budgets, and work to align with company objectives.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
Strategic problem solver with strong analytical skills.
Excellent communication and customer service focus.
6 years of experience in Facility Management.
Technical certifications, e.g., CFM, HVAC, LEED, an advantage.
