
Facilities Operations Manager

Work Schedule: Standard Mon-Fri, Environmental Conditions: Laboratory Setting and Office.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate technical systems operation and maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, and mechanical systems.
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and system failures.
- Respond to facility-related issues and resolve them promptly.
- Maintain system performance ensuring all equipment operates according to manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.
- Supervision: Lead the facilities maintenance team by providing mentorship and resources for their roles.
- Coordinate daily work schedules and ensure tasks are assigned based on priorities.
- Foster a collaborative and positive team culture encouraging open communication and development.
- Develop and implement maintenance programs, SOPs, and SOWs to ensure reliability and efficiency of facilities, equipment, and systems.
- Collaborate with vendors to manage comprehensive facility management.
- Manage single or multiple facility operations aligning with established protocols, tools, and processes.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service as a key point of contact for internal staff, contractors, and external vendors.
- Utilize strong communication and social skills for clear conversations between teams, collaborators, customers, and service providers.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and regulations.
- Participate in safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and address corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of service requests, maintenance activities, repairs, and system inspections.
- Produce reports for management highlighting critical metrics such as uptime, repair expenses, and maintenance timetables.
- Support facility-related projects including upgrades, installations, and renovations.
- Assist in project timelines, budgets, and work to align with company objectives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
Strategic problem solver with strong analytical skills.
Excellent communication and customer service focus.
6 years of experience in Facility Management.
Technical certifications, e.g., CFM, HVAC, LEED, an advantage.
