Public Relations Executive Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill this key role within our organization.

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in integrated communications and a proven track record of delivering results in IT/Tech/AI/Start-up verticals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet and update Service Level Agreements (SLAs) weekly, ensuring seamless communication with stakeholders.
  • Develop first drafts of press releases, content briefing templates, media briefing documents, responses to media queries, and authored articles that showcase expertise.
  • Collaborate with the line manager to develop and submit Work-In-Progress (WIP) reports, monthly reports, and quarter plans, providing valuable insights and analysis.
  • Closing opportunities through end-to-end coordination, leveraging strong interpersonal skills and effective communication strategies.
  • Maintain relationships with correspondents, assistant editors, and other media professionals, fostering a network of industry connections.
  • Distribute press releases and follow up on coverage, utilizing metrics to measure success.
  • Secure one large-format story per quarter in mainline or financial publications (Tier 1 media), elevating brand visibility and credibility.
  • Share media opportunity/query emails with partners and provide coverage updates, promoting transparency and open communication.
  • Send morning messages for the next day to be shared with partners by 10 AM, streamlining workflow and enhancing productivity.
  • Upload documents to the drive, maintaining organized digital files and records.

This role requires strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
