Researcher and Industry Analyst

This is a self-employed contract work opportunity that requires remote coordination from Hyderabad. We seek a skilled researcher to conduct interviews, analyze data, and report on multiple industries in the region.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct secondary research and update databases for several industries, including packaged foods and pet foods.
- Perform primary research by conducting in-depth interviews with industry opinion leaders.
- Build and maintain a digital library of secondary research by accessing and analyzing local trade press, company annual reports, national statistics, and broker reports.
- High level of numeracy and ability to work with, analyze, and interpret data.
- Strong interest in market research and tenacity in pursuing information.
- Curiosity to stay up-to-date with the evolution of the food and nutrition industry, particularly packaged and fresh food retail sales, food packaging, and pet food.
- Familiarity with consumer trends in Hyderabad and local direct knowledge is key.
- Fluency in English and the local language for reporting and research purposes.
- Previous experience working on a short-term contract basis or in a freelance capacity.
The ideal candidate will have excellent time-management, organization, and self-motivation skills, as well as proven proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
