Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of projects, ensuring timely invoicing, tax compliance, and accurate financial reporting.

  • Prepare project budget, annual/quarterly/monthly planning, and rolling forecasts to ensure effective financial management.
  • Optimize project cash flow, revenues, and gross margin contribution by collaborating with central cost controllers and project managers.
  • Identify opportunities and risks, implementing mitigation actions as needed, and participating in regular project reviews.
  • Promote commercial awareness within the project team and provide commercial input to the project execution plan.
  • Maintain an updated billing register capturing details of all billings, including status, payments, deductions, and follow-up for collections.
  • Monitor site expenses, weekly reporting in a specified format, and reconcile SAP entries with invoices.
  • Analyze actual vs. budget costs and revenue, highlighting potential issues to the controller manager and project managers.
  • Lead project actualisation at HO-defined frequency, coordinating with the project team to obtain required data, discussing with the controller manager to prepare finance-related slides, and uploading actua in SAP after approval.
  • Review Kappa against budgeted costs, highlighting deviations and ensuring adequate documentation is attached.
  • Share project slides for monthly business review, keeping the controller manager informed.
  • Conduct comprehensive checks on provisions for monthly closing and ensure accuracy and completeness in line with accounting rules and HO instructions.
  • Perform monthly cash verification and surprise verification at least once a month, reporting results to the HO team.
  • Supervise compliance with Internal Financial Controls (IFC) as defined by HO in the Risk and Control Matrix (RCM).
  • Monitor ABG, PBG, and other guarantees, ensuring timely renewal or reduction as per contractual conditions.
  • Comply with tax regulations.
  • Provide support to the execution team and be an integral part of the project team, offering core finance support for all finance-related matters on site.
  • Anticipate issues, discuss with the controller manager, and take proactive actions to resolve them.
  • Timely fill man days for self and staff working on the project, ensuring proper timesheet filling.
  • Supervise day-to-day work of the site accountant, providing guidance and support for efficient conduct of site tasks.
  • Support central controlling team on various analysis and ad-hoc requests.
