Senior Electrical Specialist

Job Role:

Técnicas Reunidas is a world-leading international general contractor engaged in the engineering and construction of industrial facilities.

The company has worked and built all over the world, in 60 countries on five continents.

Professionals with relevant design experience in the industry sectors of Oil & Gas, Refinery, Power Plant, and Petrochemical are required.

They should have good knowledge in the following activities:

• FEED and Detail Engineering within Power and Oil and Gas Projects
• Review and develop technical specifications, data sheets, and technical bid evaluation of electrical equipment and materials

Strong skills in single line drawings and schematics are necessary.

Expertise in lighting, earthing, and lightning calculations is also required.

Good knowledge in Hazardous area classification, International Codes & Standards like IEC, IEEE, NEC, NFPA, NACE, ASME, ANSI, IP, API, ASTM, ISO is needed.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design of main electrical equipment and materials.

He/She will prepare and review technical specifications and data sheets.

Preparation of electrical equipment and material sizing calculations is also a requirement.

The candidate should be able to prepare Hazardous Area Classification, Panel schedules (Power and Lighting), Interconnection and Wiring Diagrams, Control Schematics.

Preparation of MTO/BOM, Lighting Calculations, Cable Tray and Trench sizing Calculations is necessary.

The ideal candidate will requisition for Inquiry and Purchase of Electrical Equipment's and Bulk Materials.

Technical Bid Evaluation of Offers for Electrical Equipment's and Bulk Materials is also a requirement.

Interacting and collaborating with rest of technical disciplines involved is necessary.

The candidate should be able to deal with change and demonstrate flexibility as required.

Awareness and commitment to health, safety, and environmental issues is essential.

Managing engineering vendors data and reporting engineering status and progress is necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Designing for electrical equipment and materials
• Effective communication skills
• Understanding of other disciplines
• Able to complete tasks in accordance with project requirements
• Able to discuss routine technical problems and communicate effectively with immediate Supervisor and other project personnel
• Excellent English language skills - listening, speaking, reading, and writing
• Knowledge of electrical calculation software (ETAP, SKM, Digisilent, Dialux)
• Experience as electrical site engineer
