Electrical Design Specialist - Substation Projects

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Specialist to join our team for substation projects. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing primary and secondary electrical systems, including transformers, switchgear, breakers, and other essential equipment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the integration of electrical and control systems across substation infrastructure to ensure operational efficiency and safety. This involves preparing, reviewing, and revising technical drawings such as single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and protection schemes.

In addition, the Electrical Design Specialist will ensure compliance with industry standards (IEEE, IEC, ANSI) and local regulations in electrical designs. A key aspect of this role is conducting detailed design reviews, risk assessments, and safety checks to guarantee reliability and robustness of the designs.

The specialist will also provide technical support during the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting phases of substation projects, including resolving electrical design-related issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 6-16 years of experience in designing primary/secondary electrical systems for substation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of substation design, power systems, protection schemes for HV/MV substation projects.
