Job Title: Information Risk Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Information Risk Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for assisting in coordinating and managing the execution of our information security framework, policy, and programs.

  • Develop and ensure compliance with corporate security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Manage the annual review cycle and sign off of policies, while proposing changes to existing policies and procedures to ensure operating efficiency and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage outsourced vendors that provide information security functions for compliance with contracted service-level agreements.
  • Recommend and coordinate the implementation of managerial and technical controls to support and enforce defined security protocols.
  • Manage the annual Information Security management program that includes risk assessments, penetration tests, disaster recovery plan, and employee communication tests.

This role requires strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service, and critical thinking skills. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated professional integrity and ability to exercise discretion, as well as be dependable, flexible, and adaptable to new initiatives and ever-changing client needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement information security policies and procedures to protect company assets.
  2. Conduct regular risk assessments and recommend mitigating controls to senior management.
  3. Manage vendor relationships to ensure compliance with contracted service-level agreements.
  4. Implement and maintain an incident response plan to minimize business disruption in the event of a security breach.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address security vulnerabilities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in information security or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks, regulations, and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Proficiency in security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
