Job Opportunity: Accounting Professional

We are seeking a skilled accounting professional to work directly with foreign clients and gain extensive experience in Canadian accounting practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate financial records using Excel and QuickBooks Online, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Reconciliation: Reconcile bank and credit card accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure tax compliance (GST/HST/PST, corporate tax, payroll taxes) in collaboration with senior advisors to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Reporting: Assemble working paper packages for financial statements, providing valuable insights for stakeholders.
  • Client Onboarding: Proven experience in onboarding Canadian clients, ensuring a smooth transition and integration into our accounting systems and processes.
  • Data Management: Conduct data entry tasks as needed, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Tax Preparation: Prepare corporate tax returns and related documentation, demonstrating a strong grasp of accounting standards (IFRS/ASPE/GAAP), taxation, and compliance.
  • Payroll Management: Oversee payroll tasks, including client onboarding, payroll processing, etc., ensuring seamless operations.
  • Client Communication: Communicate with clients via email and phone to gather necessary information and clarify details, communicating professionally and clearly in English.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably with Canadian accounting firms.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to handle multiple clients and work pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Good understanding of the Canadian and American accent is essential for this position.
