Senior SCADA Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior SCADA engineer to lead the design, configuration and deployment of industrial automation systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MES functions, production tracking, OEE, downtime analysis, traceability, SPC and equivalent.

This role requires expertise in database technologies such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL and equivalent. Proficiency with OT/IT integration technologies, REST APIs for system interconnectivity, MQTT for IIoT messaging and lightweight communication is also required.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect and implement real-time data acquisition, visualization and reporting solutions for manufacturing operations.
  • Ensure seamless integration of OT systems with enterprise IT systems, ERP databases and cloud platforms.
  • Develop and maintain secure and efficient data exchange using OPC UA protocols.
  • Manage industrial databases, SQL historian and timeseries databases for high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to align system capabilities with production and business needs.

Requirements:

  • Candidates should have:
  • Strong knowledge of industrial control systems, PLC, SCADA, HMIs and plant floor connectivity.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing standards ISA95, ISA88, ISA99 and IEC 62443.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience with cloud-based IIoT platforms, Azure IoT, AWS IoT etc.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in OT environments.
  • Familiarity with containerization, Docker, Kubernetes for SCADA/MES deployments.
  • Experience in working on large-scale digital transformation Industry 4.0 projects.
  • Certifications Ignition Gold Certified Specialist OPC UA or relevant industrial IT/OT certifications.
