Electrical Systems BIM Coordinator Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and analytical Electrical Systems BIM Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will specialize in electrical systems and possess excellent technical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain accurate BIM models for electrical systems using software such as Revit and AutoCAD MEP.
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within the overall BIM model.
  • Resolve conflicts between electrical and other building systems in the BIM environment.
  • Create and manage BIM content libraries for electrical components.
  • Develop and implement BIM standards and best practices for electrical systems.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to optimize electrical design and installation processes.
  • Generate reports and documentation to support project planning and decision-making.
  • Provide technical support and training to team members on BIM tools and processes for electrical systems.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes and standards throughout the BIM process.
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in BIM coordination, preferably with a focus on electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in BIM software, particularly Revit and AutoCAD MEP.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems design and construction processes.
  • BIM certification, such as Autodesk Certified Professional, is preferred.
  • Excellent understanding of electrical codes and standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex projects and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Familiarity with construction processes and project management principles.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet project deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
