We are seeking experienced engineers who design scalable systems with a startup mindset.

As an engineer, you will collaborate with product and engineering teams to design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable systems.

  • You will work with development teams to create scalable systems considering fault tolerance, availability, and performance.
  • Influencing the design of our system as part of our cloud enablement journey while maintaining legacy tools.
  • You will have the opportunity to guide conversations about code and architecture.

Responsibilities include:

  • Helping service owners set realistic Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and error budgets, ensuring production services have reliability built into their design.
  • Providing production support and solving challenging engineering problems across our stack.
  • Participating in on-call schedules managed by engineering teams.
  • Automating repetitive tasks to increase efficiency and reduce human error.
  • Mentoring new hires and other engineers through example, tech talks, paired programming, and other avenues.
About This Role

This position requires:

  • 6+ years of experience working in DevOps or SRE roles, or software development, with understanding of cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience with cloud platforms GCP, AWS, Azure, and containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Experience with server-side software engineering in Python, Go, Java, BASH, etc.
  • Design experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and related technologies.
  • Strong understanding of monitoring and alerting, focusing on performance monitoring and tracing instrumentation, SLI/SLO/SLAs.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git.
  • Excellent communication skills across teams, product managers, and business stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools like Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Terraform.
