Health Underwriter Role Overview

We have exciting opportunities for individuals who want to make a difference in the healthcare industry. As a Health Underwriter, you will be responsible for managing the entire product life cycle, from concept to launch.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Handling customer inquiries and providing support to sales teams
  • Managing loss ratios and developing strategies to improve them
  • Developing new products that meet customer needs
  • Conducting market research and benchmarking competitors
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory requirements
  • Analyzing data to inform business decisions
  • Maintaining a healthy book of business through quote management and underwriting interventions

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A degree from a reputable institution, preferably an MBA
  • An undergraduate degree in a medical field is preferred
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in product management, preferably in health insurance or life insurance
