Job Overview:

As a culinary professional, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our kitchen operations.

Your primary responsibility will be to prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.

This involves washing and peeling fresh fruits and vegetables, weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients according to established recipes.

You will also be responsible for preparing and cooking food according to quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing ingredients for cooking
  • Operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
  • Testing foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently
  • Setting up and breaking down workstations
  • Washing and disinfecting kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of related work experience
  • No supervisory experience required

Additional Requirements:

You must be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift. You must also be able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Work Environment:

This is a fast-paced kitchen environment that requires attention to detail and ability to monitor food quality while preparing food.
