Piping Stress Engineer Role Summary:

  • We are seeking a skilled Piping Stress Engineer to join our team.

Job Description:

As a Piping Stress Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing piping systems to ensure safe and efficient operation. This includes performing stress analysis using Caesar II software and pipe supports design for pipelines/piping above-ground and underground.

You will also identify various data required to perform surge analysis for each project stage and conduct technical reviews of stress analysis and pipe support calculations for underground and above ground piping to ensure compliance to relevant industry standards and safe design practices.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of design codes and standards applicable for Pipe Stress Analysis (ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, ISO 14692).

Beyond the technical skills, you will also be able to estimate man-hours for projects/proposals and other horizontal/vertical work share, allocate specific jobs to assigned engineers and monitor their progress regularly, control project schedule, quality and budgeted MANHOUR, interact with clients/vendors to resolve key issues, and initiate Value Engineering solutions and implement them in consultation with other disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform stress analysis using Caesar II software and pipe supports design for pipelines/piping above-ground and underground.

  • Estimate man-hours for projects/proposals and other horizontal/vertical work share.

  • Initiate Value Engineering solutions and implement them in consultation with other disciplines.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in piping stress engineering.
  • In-depth knowledge of design codes and standards applicable for Pipe Stress Analysis (ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, ISO 14692).
  • Proficiency in Caesar II software and ability to extract surge force from PIPENET that to be input in the stress analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
