Telecommunications systems require skilled technicians to install and maintain them effectively.

The role of a Telecom Technician involves ensuring the smooth operation of telecommunications networks, including copper and fiber optic infrastructure.

This includes tasks such as installing and configuring equipment, splicing and terminating cables, and performing low-current work for devices like CCTV and AP systems.

Additionally, Telecom Technicians are responsible for identifying and replacing faulty components, utilizing testing tools such as power meters and OTDRs, and possessing basic knowledge of PCs for remote access and configuration.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.

They should be able to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.

A successful Telecom Technician will contribute to the delivery of high-quality services, ensuring customer satisfaction and business growth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Installation and maintenance of telecommunications equipment
  • Termination and patching of copper and fiber optic cables
  • Low current work for CCTV, AP, and other devices
  • Identification and replacement of faulty components
  • Use of testing tools for fibers, such as power meters and OTDRs
  • Basic knowledge of PCs for remote access and configuration
