Grain Market Specialist

This is a critical role in the business, requiring strong analytical and negotiation skills. The Grain Market Specialist will be responsible for monitoring domestic and international markets for grain price trends and supply-demand dynamics.

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of the grain market, including market intelligence tools, data analysis, and trading platforms. They will also possess excellent communication and negotiation skills to develop relationships with suppliers, buyers, and other stakeholders.

In addition to their technical expertise, the Grain Market Specialist must be able to work well under pressure and make quick decisions in fast-paced trading environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor domestic and international markets for grain price trends and supply-demand dynamics.
  • Develop and execute strategies to mitigate risk using hedging techniques.
  • Analyse weather patterns, crop reports, and government policies to inform trading decisions.
  • Negotiate contracts and prices for the procurement and sale of grains.
  • Manage logistics, warehousing, and delivery schedules in coordination with supply chain partners.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in agriculture, economics, or related field (MBA/PGDM preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of the grain market and commodities.
  • Understanding of trading platforms and exchanges.
  • Proficient in data analysis, market intelligence tools, and Excel.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and networking skills.
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure trading environments and make quick decisions.

Location: Nariman Point, Mumbai

Skills and Qualification required:

  • Knowledge of warehousing, logistics, and Agri-supply chain is a plus.
